When posting a comment, please keep to these guidelines:

1. Please refrain from spamming.

2. Keep everything you say family-friendly. We are a Christian company and desire to obey God with our words.

3. Please keep conversations focused on the point. While we like conversations as much as anyone, we do have to moderate them, and if something goes wildly off-topic, we will be forced to not post them to stay away from spam.

    Hello! Noah Smith here. I’m not sure if this is the best place to put this, but I was genuinely curious: when you say that you won’t publish anything with demons in it except for allegory, does that mean you are against Christian stories where demons are the villains, like C.S.Lewis’s space trilogy? That’s not allegory.

      Hello, Noah! (It’s been a hot minute)

      No, that’s actually a great question, thanks for asking!

      So, personally, I would classify Lewis’s work as allegorical. However, I have yet to fully read through the series (I’m on book two) MANY of the things he says points back to God, and usually that’s his idea when he’s writing books. I guess it’s just more the intent behind said demons that we’d be looking at. Like, if they exist to be scary and do horrible evils and run amok in people’s books, then we’re gonna say no. (Though these specific guidelines are referring to comments on our posts, because we want to keep a safe environment.) If the demons are there to be conquered, vanquished, exterminated, cast out, repelled, or any form of defeat, then chances are, I’m probably alright with it. One thing I NEVER want to see though, is a demon’s POV. I don’t want to know the thoughts in a demon’s head, I don’t want to see what it’s seeing, none of that. If one were to show a scene where perhaps Satan is giving out orders before a battle, what I would prefer is a 3rd-person omniscient, simply viewing and reporting the situation.

      So there’s my two cents. Hope that helps!

      Also, as for your other comment, I thinking that this was the more detailed of the two that you wanted published, so this is the one I’m approving, lol.
